How to Print in Duplex (2-Sided Printing) on a Sharp Copier

Looking to save paper and reduce clutter? Duplex printing (also known as 2-sided printing) is one of the easiest ways to cut costs and stay organized. Here’s how to set it up on your Sharp copier.

Method 1: Directly from the Copier (Copying)

If you’re making copies directly from the copier:

  1. Place your document on the glass or in the document feeder.

  2. Tap the Copy icon from the home screen.

  3. Select the Duplex option.

  4. Choose your layout:

    • 1-Sided → 2-Sided (for single-sided originals)

    • 2-Sided → 2-Sided (for double-sided originals)

  5. Press Start to begin copying.

Method 2: Duplex Printing from a Computer

When printing from your computer:

  1. Open the file and click Print.

  2. Select your Sharp printer.

  3. Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.

  4. Find the 2-Sided Printing or Duplex option.

  5. Choose either:

    • Long Edge (standard book-style flip)

    • Short Edge (flip from the top, like a notepad)

  6. Click OK, then Print.

Why Use Duplex Printing?

  • Saves paper — up to 50% on larger jobs

  • Creates cleaner, more professional documents

  • Reduces waste and supports eco-friendly practices

Additional Tips

  • If the copier isn’t duplexing, check that it has a duplex unit installed.

  • You can set duplex printing as the default in your printer settings for all jobs.
